Program Schedule

We are about to begin simple basic level breathing activities for the kids from the month of November’17 on Tuesdays and Thursdays alone for 15 mins instead of AIT. We recommend all the parents to follow the diet pattern to observe remarkable changes.

Physiological effects of Pranayama

  • Increased supply of oxygen to the brain (Generally Autistic kids have a poor or reduced supply of oxygen to the brain because of their shallow breathing)
  • Reduces or controls Convulsions (Fits/ Epilepsy) (Though the cause of convulsions is unknown, uncontrolled electrical impulses may be a contributing factor which is controlled by proper breathing practices)
  • Aids in efficient purification of the blood. (Shallow breathing usually leaves the blood without being completely purified by the lungs)
  • Improves the vital capacity of the lungs, thereby eliminating Carbon dioxide more efficiently. (Such kids tend to have reduced neural activity because of increased carbon dioxide in their blood)
  • Improves the immune response and thereby prevents acute conditions such as fever, frequent cold and wheezing. (Such kids are prone to frequent infections because of drastic immune suppression)

Psychological effects

  • Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, thereby calming their aggressive activities. Kids begin to concentrate much better gradually showing improvements in their attention and reduction in their hyperactivity.
  • It suppresses the excitatory impulses to the brain, thereby reducing their impulsive nature.
